Living Out LOUD

Tonight are the Second Annual LOUD Awards presented by the GLBA. Every year, 4 future leaders are chosen for their leadership and dedication to the community. They each receive a $2,000 scholarship to use for whatever purpose they choose in recognition for academic performance, initiative and community involvement. Some of the students are just graduating from high school and have spearheaded projects to make their schools safer for gay students or kinder on the environment; some are in University or headed back to school after a hiatus; all are highly accomplished, articulate and dedicated to bettering their world.

I’m amazed by the response the LOUD Awards have received and by the change that can be brought forth by a handful of committed individuals. The event is sold out and I’ll report tomorrow on how it all went.

Seven25 renamed and rebranded the floundering foundation last year and we’re very proud to have sponsored this year’s event in design services totalling $3,000.
