How are we going to tackle global warming in the end? Is the question being posed properly? Is it being asked to the right people? How can we reframe the problem to find new solutions?
As previously discussed the millennials are ready and keen to instigate change. With the tools at its disposal and an unwavering faith in its ability for achievement, this generation could be the push forward the world seems to have been waiting for.
In the case of global warming specifically, the Canary Project is writing a report for the Environmental Defense Fund, a not for profit that uses science, economic incentives, corporate partnerships and the law to tackle environmental issues.
In an effort to shed some light on new ways to approach, define and discuss the issues surrounding the warming of our planet, the researchers are asking GenY and all “young” people to share what they envisage as possible solutions. GOOD magazine is spreading the word and so can you. You can also email the researchers at: edward (at) canariy-project (dot) org and ofayanju (at) edf (dot) org
The Canary Project produces visual media, events, and artwork that build public understanding of human-induced climate change and energize commitment to solutions. // All images are from the Canary Project website.
