YouTube has been stepping up its support of not for profit organizations through nonprofit channels and nonprofit video pages. Filled with tips and tricks and opportunities to connect with organizations and volunteers, the YouTube nonprofit program offers additional exposure to associations which may not have the means to hire a professional crew or agency.

YouTube is also launching its 5th Annual DoGooder Non-Profit Video Awards in partnership with See3 Communications and the Case Foundation. All qualified entries are eligible to win one of four $2,500 grants provided by the Foundation as well as other prizes. Award categories are based on the organization’s size and a new category is being introduced for “thrifty” video (less than $500).

Get your films out; deadline is 2 March 2011!
